The History of Camp Horroween

Many years ago, The Precious Memories Camping Club from Ohio spent Halloween week camping together at a quiet place in the country called Happy Daze Campground. On Halloween night everyone put on costumes and they had a big Halloween party where both young and old laughed, played spooky games and had fun.
Little did they know that in the woods behind Happy Daze Campground a vicious satanic cult, whose members disguised themselves as demons, practiced their evil rituals every year during Halloween season, including human sacrificing. As these families enjoyed their festivities the cult members watched and waited from behind the trees.
After the party ended all of the families went back to their campsites for the night and what happened after that has been portrayed by first responders as an indescribably gruesome scene that looked as if every animal in the jungle had attacked these families and campground rangers……. all at once. Happy Daze Campground closed that night and has never opened since. The campsites of these families are still there, none have ever been moved. Animals now make many of these campers their homes.
Nobody was ever charged for any of these grizzly, sadistic murders. Information and evidence from the locals has been unreliable and very hard to get. Locals did say that the cult still exists and is larger than ever before. Locals also revealed that the cult placed a merciless curse on these victims after brutally murdering them. Their curse forces the spirits of these sweet family members and Rangers to come back every year, for the entire Halloween season, and re-live their barbaric murders over and over again.
Not long after this massacre happened the locals gave Happy Daze Campground a new name….Camp Horroween.

On Oct. 2, 2025 band booster clubs will, for the first time since this barbaric slaughter occurred, open Camp Horroween for the public to go in and see firsthand this unbelievably brutal mass murder scene.
All Band Booster Clubs are invited to join and be a part of this fun, amazing and very profitable fundraiser. Camp Horroween was first called Happy Daze Campground, their sign said this: “Where new friends are made every day.”
About 40 years ago, The Smiling Family Camping Club made the journey from Ohio down to South Carolina to spend Halloween week at a quiet place in the country called Happy Daze Campground. On Halloween night this camping club threw a big party where everyone, young and old, were dressed in Halloween costumes, laughing and having fun. Little did they know that a local satanic cult practiced their rituals, including human sacrificing, on Halloween Night every year from the woods behind Happy Daze Campground. As these families enjoyed their Halloween festivities, the cult members, all dressed as demons, watched from behind the trees.
After the party ended all of the families went back to their campsites for the night and what happened after that has been portrayed by first responders as an indescribably gruesome scene that looked as if every animal in the jungle had attacked this group of families and campground staff members……. all at once.
Happy Daze Campground closed that day and never re-opened. The tents, travel trailers and RV’s that these families owned are still there, none have ever been moved. Nobody was ever arrested for any of these grizzly, sadistic murders. Locals say that after savagely and mercilessly murdering these families the cult placed a curse on the souls of all of their victims; every year at Halloween the spirits of these sweet family members and campground staff are made to come back here and re-live the entire brutal experience of their murders. Not long after this vicious slaughter happened, the locals re-named the camp ground Camp Horroween.
Beginning Oct. 2, 2025, Camp Horroween will re-open and allow the public to come inside and witness the carnage that unfolded that dreadful night some 40 years ago. Please check back to this website as we move forward for updated information on this major 2025 Halloween development.

A- There are 2 primary responsibilities for participating Band Booster Clubs. First, each Band Booster Club will be assigned a campsite in Camp Horroween. It will be the responsibility of the Band Booster Club to design and decorate the campsite. This will include a camper, tent, travel trailer, etc. that contains the mass murder scene of the family that owned it. 2Nd, each Booster Club will be responsible for providing about 20 people to work at Camp Horroween for one night.

A-The plan is to open Thursday-Sunday nights for the entire month of October; this will give us about 20 nights operation. Our goal is to have 20 booster clubs to participate in Camp Horroween with each booster club being responsible for creating one camp site and staffing Camp Horroween for one of the 20 nights that it is open.
The haunted house industry is very large and areas the size of the S.C. Midlands (about 1 million people) and the S.C. Upstate (about 1.5 million people) can expect to average at least 2,000 guests per night for a top quality, well advertised haunted attraction. Our goal is to have a minimum of 1,500 guests per night and with the monies from tickets, concessions and tee shirt sales to profit all participating booster clubs a minimum of $15,000 each for their providing one camp site and staffing Camp Horroween for one night. This $15,000 number could also go much higher with us reaching 2,000 guests or more per night. The bottom line is the better job we do with creating and advertising Camp Horroween the more profits we will make.
There will also be bonus money awarded to Booster Clubs who provide the highest quality campsites. The amounts of this bonus money and how it will be distributed will be decided in our forum.

A- The RV’s, campers, golf carts, boats, etc. that are used as props should be old and in very poor condition. There are families all over who have these junks sitting around who will gladly donate them to any High School Band for a fundraiser. Remember, according to the script, these camp sites have been sitting here for many years so they must look rough……...nothing nice will work.

Your members do. People who build props for high school bands are very creative, this should be very fun and easy for them.

No, a large viewing window will be cut in the front of the campers where people look inside as they walk by.
